Description
Merox process: In this process, the gas is washed with caustic soda and water in (3) steps. It consists of three parts. It contains 33 valve trays. In the first stage, which includes 15 trays of the tower. Gas is given with a profit of 10 percent of the initial washing. In such a way that the gas is moving from the bottom to the top. It is washed by the soda that moves from the top of each floor to the bottom.
The gas then enters the second part of the tower, which also contains 15 trays. Here is 20% profit which is mixed with Merox catalyst. The pump takes the profit from the bottom of the tank near the tower and pours it on the 30th tray. With the movement of gas upwards, and the movement of soda and Merox downwards, the gas is freed from all sulfur compounds and mercaptans, which remain in the solution.
The third part of the tower consists of 3 trays, the purpose of which is to remove possible substances from the gas.
In this step, gas and water are poured into the upper part of the tower by a pump and washed. And the possibility that soda may be taken out with gas has been taken. And in the end, the gas coming out of this tower is completely sweet and the only moisture in it is that it can be removed from the gas.
