Description
Condenser heat exchanger design: vacuum tower: heat exchanger is a device that is used for optimal heat transfer from one environment to another environment. Heat exchangers transfer heat between two or more fluid streams flowing through the device.
Heat exchangers are used in many industries such as process, power plant, air conditioning, refrigeration, refrigeration, heat recovery and manufacturing industries. Many types of fossil boilers, nuclear steam generators, heater condensers, regenerators and cooling towers are used in power plant industries. In process industries, two-phase flow converters are used for evaporation, distillation, crystal freezing and as fluidized beds with catalytic reactions. Air conditioning and refrigeration systems require condensers and evaporators.
In this project, X-Shell vacuum distillation tower condenser is designed. Our software design system for the TEMA standard of this converter has a precise design of this geometry. We consider the final geometry and TEMA standard for this converter as AXL. The figure below shows the schematic of this condenser.
Design of Vacuum Tower Condenser Heat Exchanger
In this project, the heat exchanger related to the condenser of vacuum distillation tower is designed in Aspen EDR software. The horizontal type condenser with removable channels for washing and regeneration of the converter was selected and the shell type was selected as Cross Flow type to be close to our chosen geometry. The figure below shows a part of the condenser heat exchanger design.
